Willie Carver Jr. is a public speaker, LGBTQ+ youth advocate, and Kentucky Teacher of the Year. He is the author of Gay Poems for Red States, an award-winning collection about growing up queer in Appalachia. His fragmented novel, Tore All to Pieces, arrives Spring 2026 from the University Press of Kentucky.  Join us for a discussion of his work.
