Kids will step into the author's seat by writing their own unique story in this interactive workshop with local author Brittany J. Thurman. We'll talk about what makes a great book, our favorite memorable characters, and how our lived experience can influence the stories we tell. Afterwards, we will craft an illustrated book featuring our own characters, plot, and illustrations. Participants are welcome to share their books and take them home! All ages
