Join COLLIDER Artist-in-Residence, Jenny Stopher, to learn about the creative practice of "stitch meditation." Participants will learn how to set up and begin a stitch mediation practice by first looking at examples of stitch journals. Participants will then choose materials and construct their own fabric journal for stitching. This journal provides a space to practice slow stitching for the purpose of contemplation and meditation as well as the general practice of stitch. We’ll learn basic stitches, talk about strategies of a successful practice, and learn tips to remove all the “stops” so you can keep your meditation practice going at home. All skill levels welcome.
