Join us for our weekly game program featuring games like Mario Kart, Madden, 2K, Uno, and many more! Ages 5-17

Lets celebrate the Spring season. Come create your own bright daffodil flowers and arrange them into a cheerful bouquet. All supplies provided - just bring your imagination. (For ages 5-12).

Join us each month for a fun lesson followed by an activity.  Ages 9-18

Enjoy a weekly kids only craft time, socialize after school and make something fun to keep! Materials provided.

Homeschool families are invited to relax, snack, and explore something new each month at the Library Lounge! From old technology to LEGO building, it’s a fun, informal meet-up for learning and connection.

Family playdate is a chance to meet new families and enjoy social playtime. We provide the toys and coffee. This is a relaxed drop-in program for ages 0–6.

During regular library hours, bring a favorite toy to the Library for a sleepover. Drop off during open hours (4/23) and pick it up Apr. 24-30.
 

Do you think you can protect an egg from cracking from various heights? Test out your ideas and use materials provided to create a protective barrier for your egg and see if it holds up

Join us for an afternoon craft project. We'll complete a different project each week with options for more structured and unstructured crafts. Follow our gallery of kid-created library art on Pinterest. All supplies provided.

Help us beautify the steps and sidewalk of Shawnee Library with outdoor chalk painting! Ages 4 - 14

Read to a licensed therapy dog from WAGS—Wonderful Animals Giving Support. All reading levels are welcome. Reading times are limited to 15 minutes per child/family. Space limited, registration required. Call 502- 574 1771 to register. 

Celebrate Library Week by practicing skills every good librarian needs and earn your Junior Librarian badge. “Find Your Joy” at the library! For ages 6-12.

Homeschooling elementary aged kids and their families are invited to join us on Monday afternoons to explore stories, demonstrations, and activity stations centered on the week’s stupendous STEAM theme. Ages 5-11 and their families.

Come by any time between 6 and 7:30pm for a fun, casual evening of games. Each month will feature a range of family friendly activities including card games like Uno, board games, ringtoss, mini bowling, and more.
