The Jefferson County Master Gardener Association members are doing a plant swap! Come see what plants they have on hand and swap out the ones you bring. Ages 18+

Teens will gain hands-on experience in the kitchen while building confidence, self-reliance, and essential food literacy skills that last a lifetime with our local 4-H Cooperative Extension Office using our Charlie Cart mobile kitchen.

This seasonal recipe turns a nutrient-dense vegetable into a savory treat for the whole family to enjoy. In this recipe, caramelized roasted cabbage becomes a crunchy, delicious side to any main course.

Prepare to be amazed by cakes that fool the eye! In this live demonstration, you will learn how simple ingredients are turned into lifelike edible illusions using sculpting, texturing, and painting techniques.

Plants in need of a haircut? Bring your cutting in to trade with other plant enthusiasts. Limited propagations will be available at the branch for patrons to take home while supplies last. Indoor and outdoor plants are welcomed.

Children will help to prepare and then eat a healthy snake while learning about nutrition and basic kitchen skills.  Followed by a fun and engaging activity.  Ages 4-11.

Students will learn culinary basics, focusing on cooking terms, food-cutting skills, and kitchen safety.  Participants will also follow a recipe to prepare their own meal.  For middle & high school students.

We'll take it back to the basics with one of the most comforting foods there is—homemade bread and butter. In this fun demonstration, you’ll learn simple techniques, easy recipes, and enjoy the irresistible smell of fresh bread baking.

Start a windowsill herb garden.  In this workshop you will decorate a recycled container to start your seedlings in. Jennifer will discuss the basics of starting seeds and how to care for your indoor herb plants.

Struggle to figure out what to cook on busy weeknights? This easy one pot meal is an ode to late Spring and comes together in about 30 minutes.

Lights, camera… dinner! Join us for Film and Fork, a fun and interactive program where food and movies come together.
