Nurture a love of reading for your newborn in this special circle time! We'll introduce pre-literacy skills through books, lap bounces, songs, and rhymes, ending with social play.  Ages 0-12 months. 

Baby Lap Sit is a special circle time that introduces the rhythm and beauty of language to babies. Join us for a new offering specifically for parents and caregivers and their newborns.

Join a Good Karma Yoga instructor for gentle activities and breathing exercises designed with toddlers and preschool-aged children in mind.

Foster a love of reading and nature in your child! Join us for books, creative play and outdoor activities. Rain or shine, cold or hot. Dress for the weather!

Joins us for a special Shark-themed Storytime!

Bond over shared books, songs, movement, and play that support a lifelong love of learning.  Ages 0-5.

Foster a love of reading in your young toddlers through this engaging story time! Join us for books, songs, movement, and various activities that encourage the development of early learning skills.  Ages 12 months – 24 months. 

Face painting, snacks and outside play. Plus, bring something to tie dye! Ages 2 and up.

Join us outside for popsicles, bubbles, ice painting, & other activities.

Now that Summer Reading is over, celebrate your accomplishments with Parkland Library at Alberta O Jones Park! Join us for a day full of amazing crafts, fun games, great friends, Fossi Lou Balloons and more!

Filled with lots of laughter and learning, children practice fun and challenging yoga poses, partner and group poses, yoga games, breathing, and basic anatomy.

A storytime for developing pre-literacy skills and a love of reading through books, songs, movement and activities. Ages 2-4.

Become familiar with some birds of prey from our area. Ages 8-14.

Celebrate the end of Summer Reading by making outdoor art! Dress to get messy.

Make a beaded shark keychain, play shark trivia, and see what kind of shark you would be! Ages 6-12.

Fun, silly and thoroughly entertaining! This comical trickster is secretly known as Ken Neuhauser. All Ages. After the show, celebrate your Summer Reading success with a slice of pizza!

Make your own tasty ice cream concoction to celebrate the end of summer reading! We will have ice cream, toppings, and some fun activities. All ages. 

Learn life skills to become competent, caring and contributing citizens. Participants learn about a new topic and make a craft.  Afterward, enjoy music and movement time. Ages 5‐8

Celebrate the end of Summer Reading with a celebration!  We’ll have face-painting with Rose Flowers and a magic show with Tom Causey. Go on a magical safari that includes stories, spells, comedy and lots of magic!  Ages 3 to 12.

Learn beginner photography skills and how to take clean photos with our local 4-H Cooperative Extension Office.

Please bring a camera, phone, or tablet.

July 6 – Zooming with our Feet: Photos of Words 

Join us as we envision and create! Different mediums will be explored every month, including painting, collaging, clay sculpting, and more!
Ages 10-19.

Enjoy making and eating sushi while learning about Japanese food culture.  Limit 15.  Register: 502-375-2051.

Drop in for an afternoon of activities at the Library, just for kids!  Snacks provided.  Ages 6-11

Join us in the Teen Space for video games, board games, and simple craft projects. For middle and high school students.

Join a volunteer from WAGS—Wonderful Animals Giving Service.  They bring a licensed therapy dog into the library that you can pet and read to.  Ages 4 to 12 and all reading levels are welcome.

Come and enjoy the hot drinks, cozy atmosphere, and study spaces in Northeast Regional Public Library’s new Teen Café! Take a break to enjoy a craft, game, or other relaxing activity.  Ages 12-18

Come and create your own character, build a fantastic world, and explore it with your friends as we learn how to play collaborative games.

Wrap up the summer with an action-packed Nerf Wars showdown! Join us outside for an exciting afternoon of friendly competition and fast-paced fun.

Join us for our bi-monthly movie night for LGBTQ+ seniors. Hosted in partnership with Sweet Evening Breeze, our movie night will include a film screening and subsequent discussion, as well as snacks. Registration requested.

Learn, share strategies, and play the classic game of chess with players of all skill levels. Challenge your local librarian for bragging rights as we get better together!

Celebrate the end of Summer Reading with an after-hours game night featuring games, puzzles, and more, ending with a glow dance party! Dinner and snacks provided.  Ages 0-18.

On the last Monday evening of the month, we will a Newburg community discussion about a topic of our choice.

Calling all fiber artists! Whether you’re new or experienced, join us for knitting, crochet, weaving, needlework and more. Experienced fiber friends on staff will guide you through structured activities, or you can BYO WIP!
