Calling all fiber artists! Whether you’re new or experienced, join us for knitting, crochet, weaving, needlework and more. Experienced fiber friends on staff will guide you through structured activities, or you can BYO WIP!

A storytime for developing pre-literacy skills and a love of reading through books, songs, movement and activities. Ages 0-24 months.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) offers guided English practice, led by a library staff member.  The instructor leads students through grammar exercises and a cultural theme every week.

Looking for a calm and quiet place to relax and hang out in the afternoon? Join us for Cozy Corner from 3-5 PM! 

Join us at the Teen Outpost for a relaxing and peaceful environment to focus on your cozy hobbies. Outpost Café provides a soothing ambiance, along with warm beverages and pastries for a delightful coffeehouse experience.

Teens use our meeting space to hang out, play games, and enjoy other fun activities!

Cozy up with snacks and a fun summer flick at the Shawnee Library! Patrons can stop in to vote on the movie selection starting May 1. 

Pokémon fans between the ages of 5-12 meet the third Thursday of each month to play, trade cards, talk about your favorite Pokémon characters, and/or do a simple craft or other activity. Ages 5-12.

 

If you are feeling Thirs-Tea on Thursday, come to the Shively Library to try some Tea-licious teas! Feel free to bring some tea from home to add to the selection. This is an opportuni-tea to talk about tea, books, and other subjects!

Storytime is an opportunity for families to bond over shared stories and songs, as well as engaging in creative activities that reinforce a lifelong love of learning.
